Thermador GCV 36 G Won't Light?

Hi my family is having problems with our old Thermador gas cooktop. For a while now, longer than I can remember, the ignitor on our gas cooktop has not been working. When you turn the knob to light, you hear the clicking but the burner does not light. We have been using a lighter and it works fine but would like to get the auto-lite fixed before we sell the house.
