Why did GE quit making 50W indoor floodlights?
I have a kitchen/breakfast ceiling with just enough 50W floods to provide good light and now I can't get replacement bulbs. Was this industry choice or government mandate?
I contacted GE and they said their 50watt bulb (product code 48691) was replaced by the 45watt. I contacted www.bulbman.com and they had another manufacturers 50watt indoor floodlight. It too was no longer available.
Of course I'd like the 50 watt; but I really wanted to know why they are no longer available. Government intervention in the market place?
